COVID-19: Tamil Nadu case tally surpasses 4.28 lakh with 5,956 new cases

Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu’s cumulative COVID-19 case count on Monday surpassed the 4.28-lakh mark, including 3,68,141 recoveries and 7,322 casualties.





Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu’s cumulative COVID-19 case count on Monday surpassed the 4.28-lakh mark, including 3,68,141 recoveries and 7,322 casualties.

Over the last two months, daily cases in Tamil Nadu have been hovering around the 6,000 range while Chennai has been witnessing about 1200 cases in a day. The laboratories in the state have tested about 46.5 lakh samples thus far.

The number of active cases stood at 52,578 today.

The State registered 91 fatalities today.

State Capital Chennai posted 1,150 cases for the day

With 589 new cases for the day, Coimbatore continues to register humongous single-day jumps.

While Tirupur logged 70 cases, The Niligirs posted 30 today.

In some good news, the state managed to discharge 6,008 patients post successful recoveries taking the overall tally of discharges to 3,68,141.
