COVID-19: Areawise breakup of 501 new cases reported today in Coimbatore District today
Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Administration have reported 501 new cases of COVID-19 infection in the district.
Following the health department's prediction on possible spike of Covid cases by September in Coimbatore district, the City Corporation and the District Administration is gearing up preventive measures to contain the viral spread.
Cases have already spiked in the district from 300 to 500 and the total cases has leaped ahead to 14,894 on Sunday.
To tackle the situation, the district administration is focussed on increasing bed facilities at Covid Care Centres and Covid Health. centres to accomodate asymptomatic patients. And,more fever camps are ear-marked at multiple locations to identify people with symptoms of Influenza-like Illness (ILI).
451 recoveries and 5 deaths have been recorded today.
