COVID-19: 100 new cases in Tiruppur today

Tirupur: About 100 people have been diagnosed with corona infection in a single day in Tiruppur district today.

The number of victims in Tirupur district is increasing day by day due to the impact of the coronavirus infection.

Under the circumstances, the district added 100 new cases to its case tally today taking it to 2,557.

Meanwhile, 26 people who had been receiving treatment the dreaded virus in the district made successful recoveries today as a result of which 1,736 people have so far recovered and returned home in Tirupur.

Tirupur logged 2 fatalities today taking the overall district death toll to to 64 so far.

The number of active cases stood at 757.

Following the Coimbatore district, Tirupur also has started displaying an upward trend in new cases, causing panic among the public.
