Yesterday, the Former IPS officer Annamalai, a BJP member now, visited the BJP office at VK Menon Road, Gandhipuram, Coimbatore. The BJP executives welcomed him with much fervour and fanfare.

The event was held in the presence of State Treasurer SR Sekar, State Vice President Kanagasabapathy, State General Secretary GK Selvakumar and BJP Coimbatore District President Nandakumar. More than 50 party executives attended the event. This caused traffic congestion in the area for sometime.

Kattoor police have now registered a case against BJP members including Annamalai, Nandakumar, GK Selvakumar, SR Sekar and Kanakasabapathy for violating the lockdown restrictions under IPC sections 142, 341, 269 and 285.
