Warrant issued to six of the accused who failed to appear for trial in the Kodanad Estate heist and murder case

The Nilgiris: Out of the 10 accussed in the heist and murder case of the former CM Jayalalitha's Kodanad Estate watchman, only four were present today. The other six were issued warrants by the judge and were ordered to be presented on September 3, 2020.

Since the High Court had ordered for the Kodanad heist and murder case to be completed in three months, the District judge had ordered for all the accused to be presented at court on August 27. Out of the 10 accused, Sayaan who is lodged at the Coimbatore Central Prison, Walayar Manoj, Jamsheer Ali and Manoj Samy, four of them were presented at the court today.

Following this, the remaining six people were issued warrants by Judge Vadamalai. The trial of the case was postponed to September 3.
