Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner inspected COVID-19 care centres. The Coimbatore Corporation is taking various preventive measures to curb the spread of coronavirus infection.

People infected with the coronavirus are being treated at the Coimbatore Government Hospital, ESI Hospital and CODISSIA.



Also special camps are being conducted regularly in all the areas under the five zones in the Corporation of Coimbatore. Under the circumstances, Corporation Commissioner J. Shravan Kumar visited the COVID-19 Care Center, which has a capacity of about 450 beds at the Bharathiar University Sports Complex and the Anna University Student Hostel with a capacity of about 200 beds, to treat the coronavirus victims.

He also inspected the health, housing, toilet, and electrical facilities in these centers and inspected whether they are adequately equipped to treat COVID patients.



Corporation Commissioner visited and inspected the site for setting up of the Coronavirus Classification Center at the Rajalakshmi Auditorium of the Alumni Association of Government College of Engineering, West Zone Coimbatore.

Saravanan - Assistant Commissioner, West Region, Jegatheeswari - Assistant Engineer and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
