Coimbatore: Former IPS officer Annamalai has said that the social media trash will be the place where the lotus would grow out of in TN.
Annamalai met the press at the BJP office in Gandhipuram. He informed that he was proud to have joined the BJP.
Speaking to the press, he said, "The BJP is a party for the common man and the 2021 Assembly elections will see a turning point. The BJP topbrass will give me a post in the party and will also decide regarding my participation in the election. I don't have any expectations from the party and my politics is only focussed on TN. Further, TN needs an alternate route and the BJP will become one of the major powers in TN."
Talking about the NEP he said, "Hindi is not being imposed under the NEP. When the BJP is not neglecting TN, how can it be called a party against the Tamils?", he questioned.
"The Dravidian parties should publish an open report on what they did for Tamil in their regime. I am not eligible to talk about the electoral alliance", he said.
Talking about the Cauvery issue, he said, "The Central government is not being unfair in the Cauvery river issue. When the rainfall is less in Karnataka then the Cauvery issue crops up."
"Tamil should be prioritized and not Hindi, but it is good to learn a lot of languages", he said and questioned, "If we say no to NEET what is the alternative? The government can conduct NEET exams but all facilities must be made before the exams are conducted."
"It is condemnable that someone was asked to leave the Ayush meeting because they did not know Hindi. A government official saying this does not make it the government's policy. There is not a single leader to speak about TN in the Parliament and there has been no growth in TN in the last 20 years", he commented.
Finally, he said that the party would grow the lotus in the social media trash that is thrown at them.
