An SBI bank employee in the branch near the Pollachi Gandhi statue had symptoms for COVID-19 and was examined for the disease. On examination, health officials confirmed that he had an infection.

Following the confirmation, COVID testing is being carried out on about 50 people, including other bank employees and customers.



Health department officials have sealed the bank. Municipality staff have sprayed disinfectants at the bank premises. A special medical camp has been set up by the health and revenue authorities and tests are being conducted for those who have visited the bank recently.
