Saravanan (22), son of Muthusamy from Kottur, Angalakurichi, is a daily wage labourer. He sexually assaulted a 35-year-old woman the day before yesterday. He grabbed the woman by the hand and abused her using foul language.
Based on the complaint lodged by the woman, the Aliiyar police registered a case against Saravanan under the Prevention of Violence Against Women Act and arrested him. The police then produced him in court and imprisoned him in Avinashi jail.
