The Nilgiris: A DMDK Women's Wing Assistant Secretary at Gudalur was electrocuted today, in an unexpected accident. The death of the party executive has caused sadness among the party members.

Vijayalakshmi (47) from the Amaikulam area near Gudalur was the Assistant Secretary of the Women's Wing of theDMDK, Nelliyalam. She was electrocuted unexpectedly when she was carrying out regular household activities today.

Following this, the people of the area informed the Devala Police station. The police retrieved the body of Vijayalakshmi and took it to the Gudalur GH.

This incident has saddened DMDK cadres.
