Tirupur: MDMK protested demanding repair of pits on Tirupur roads. They staged a road roko today demanding to close the pits dug by the Tirupur Corporation and TWAD for laying pipelines on Tirupur Kongu Main Road.

Even several days after the completion of work, the pits remain without repair.

Since there was no action even after several petitions, the MDMK today indulged in a protest that lasted for more than an hour. The Police immediately reached the spot and brought in Corporation officials for negotiation. Only after the assurance by the corporation officials, the protestors dispersed. The protest led to traffic congestion in the area.
