Coimbatore: BJP State Vice President Vanathi Srinivasan said the DMK Chief MK Stalin was slandering PM Modi in an attempt to win elections in Tamil Nadu.
Vanathi Srinivasan met the press today after inaugurating an E-service center in the Puliyakulam area. She said that the central government's projects were being implemented very well in Tamil Nadu and that Tamil Nadu had received over Rs 5 lakh crore from the central government in the last six years and over 6600 crore for COVID-19 relief alone. She said BJP does show any difference to TN and treats it just like all the other BJP-headed states.
She said that the central government has given Rs 6600 crore to Tamil Nadu for COVID alone. She said that the central government has provided to the state as if BJP has its regime here. She accused DMK leader Stalin for giving out false information about Prime Minister Modi in order to win elections in TN. She also pointed out that MK Stalin who wishes for festivals of minority communities does not wish for festivals like Krishna Jayanthi and Vinayagar Chathurthi. She wondered why he could not extend that courtesy to Hindus.
She said on behalf of BJP she wanted to convey that there would be a negative wave against the DMK in the coming assembly elections. When asked about why actor Rajinikanth did not express his greetings on the occasion of Vinayagar Chaturthi, she said that Rajinikanth's political journey by itself was a spiritual journey and that he had posted wishes previously. She also said that Rajinikanth does not belittle other religions.
She alleged that the AIADMK alliance and the DMK alliance were only a political arrangement and that the BJP aims to form a government in Tamil Nadu.
Speaking of it she pointed out that Premalatha Vijayakanth could have stated the intention of her party, and added that the National Democratic Alliance continues to exist and there is no change in that. She said details of the coalition will be announced as elections near and said that the BJP could feel a changing political environment in Tamil Nadu and the BJP popularity continues to increase.
She expressed confidence that elections will bring a change and the alliances will continue until a Kazhagam-free Tamil Nadu is in place.
