79 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the Nilgiris on August 25, 2020
The Nilgiris: 79 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the Nilgiris, today.
A total of 1,400 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 until August 24, in the Nilgiris District. Six of these cases will be moved to cases from other districts. The corrected list included 1,394 cases of COVID-19. Further 79 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 until August 25, 2020. Until today 1,473 people have tested positive for COVID-19. Of this 1,080 of them have recovered completely and discharged while nine of them have expired. The remaining 384 people have been admitted into hospitals for treatment.
The District Collector has requested the public to avoid unnecessary events and travel. Those with symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever, cough and breathlessness must visit the nearest GH without any delay. Further the public were requested to offer their support and cooperation to the COVID-19 prevention measures being undertaken by the District Administration.
