Coimbatore: The birthday of DMDK President Vijayakanth was celebrated by party cadres in Coimbatore District with the distribution of welfare packages to the public.
The DMDK party cadres of the Coimbatore South District, Pollachi North and West Unions and the surrounding areas hoisted the party flag and distributed sweets and provided a welfare kit consisting of vegetables, oil, pulses and face masks to more than 50 destitutes.
The Coimbatore South District Secretary, former MLA Panapatti K. Dinakaran graced the occasion. Pollachi North Union Secretary N.S. Sathyadev presided over the event. State Executive Committee member M. Muruganandham, District Student Wing Assistant Secretary Saravanakumar, West Union Council President Rasu and Women's Wing Council executives, DMDK members and many members of the public took part in the event.
