The Nilgiris: The launch of Nilgiris District Police app was held today headed by DSP Sasi Mohan. The DSP said that efforts will be made to resolve complaints regarding crimes and transport hinderances in 24 hours.
"The App has been created with an aim to ensure that all people in the Nilgiris district including those living in far-off places like Pandalur and Devala in Gudalur area are able to register their grievances", the DSP told.
Briefing on the how the App will be useful for the tourists who throng the Nilgiris, the DSP said that the App will be very useful for the tourists who visit the Nilgiris during these COVID-19 times. For assistance, they can use the App and register their grievance, he said.
"Complaints registered through the App will be brought to the notice of the DSP. And, remedial action will be taken within 24 hours", he assured.
Prior to the launch of the app, the Home Guards division that functioned well during the pandemic times, were honoured and presented with certificates of appreciation. The App can be downloaded from the play store.
