A lorry carrying cloths for hosiery units from Trichy to a private knitting company in Tirupur was on its way via Kangayam Road.
It collided with an electric pole near Nallur yesterday evening and damaged the front areas of some shops near Nallur. Three two-wheelers parked on the side of the road were also damaged.
Police immediately removed the lorry with the help of a crane. The police are investigating to find the lorry driver who went missing.
