Tirupur records 70 Covid-19 positive cases, today; 58 people discharged

After recording an all-time, single day spike of Covid-19 cases of 99 on Friday, the number of cases dropped to 70, today in Tirupur district.

Tirupur: After recording an all-time, single day spike of Covid-19 cases of 99 on Friday, the number of cases dropped to 70, today in Tirupur district. 

Bringing a huge sigh of relief, 58 people have reportedly fully recovered and discharged to their homes, today. Thus far, 1284, people have been discharged in the district, according to the State bulletin. 

With 70 new cases today, the total Covid-19 cases surged to 1947. With one death reported today, 53 people have succumbed to the novel Coronavirus, till date. 

610 active cases are presently treated at various hospitals in Coimbatore and Tirupur district.
