Salem: Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy offered special prayers to Vinyagar on Vinayagar Chathurthi day, at his home in Suramangalam, Salem.
A clay Vinayagar idol was installed and the necessary rituals were followed by the CM and his family. All of the members of the CM's family wore face masks during the prayers.
In a similar simple celebration the Minister for Municipal Administration S.P.Velumani offered prayers along with his family, at his home. He also conveyed his wishes to the people on the occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi.
In his festival message the Minister said, "My wishes and prayers to all the people to be blessed with the initiative and motivation to change all obstacles into stepping stones and for obtaining all kinds of prosperity and health. Wishes on Vinyagar Chathurthi day."
