Tirupur: In a highest single-day spike in Covid-19 cases, Tirupur has recorded 99 new positive cases, with a total case tally of 1875, as of Friday, according to the State bulletin.
As of today, 597 Covid patients are under treatment at hospitals and various COVID Care centres across the district and in Coimbatore. With one death reported today, the total death tally rose to 52 in the district.
With COVID cases on the rise in Tirupur district, 21 people have fully recovered and discharged, today. So far, 1,226 have been discharged in the district.
A total of 11,870 people are advised home quarantine, of which 2,843 cases were added today to the list. 866 people have been subjected to PCR testing, on Friday.
