Coimbatore: The Revenue and Disaster Management Department has issued a notice extending the Sunday lockdown relaxation to include manufacturers of Automobiles and their components, components for Defence and all export industries.
Coimbatore: The Revenue and Disaster Management Department has issued a notice extending the Sunday lockdown relaxation to include manufacturers of Automobiles and their components, components for Defence and all export industries.
In a letter from the Additional Chief Secretary it said, "The Government has ordered a complete lockdown through the State on all Sundays falling in the month of August 2020. It has been stated that, no other activity except Milk distribution, Hospitals, Medical Shops, Hospitals Vehicles, Ambulance and Hearse Vehicles services will be permitted during this complete lockdown.
In addition to the above relaxations, the Continuous process industries, Industries manufacturing essential items like medical devices and Food, Food Processing industries, Agricultures, Agro Processing and plantations are also permitted during the lockdown on all Sundays."
The letter further clarified, that in addition to the above relaxations the manufacturers of automobiles and their components, components for Defence and all export industries will also be permitted during the lockdown on all Sundays (August 23and August 30, 2020) falling from the date of issue of this letter (August 21, 2020).
