Coronavirus infection is increasing day by day in Coimbatore district. This brings the total number of victims in Coimbatore to 10,957.
Similarly, 3 more people died today in Coimbatore district. The death toll in Coimbatore district has risen to 231.
A total of 258 people have been discharged today and 3066 people are under treatment.
Details of patients who succumbed to Covid-19, as reported by State bulletin on August 21:
1. A 55-year-old male from Coimbatore admitted on August 17 at Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, died on August 19 at due to Pneumonia / Hypoxic Respiratory Failure / COVID 19 Positive.
2. A 80-year-old female from Coimbatore admitted on August 6 at Coimbatore Medical College and ESI Hospital, died on August 18 due to Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus / Sudden Cardiac Arrest / ARDS /COVID 19 Pneumonia.
3. A 41-year-old female from Coimbatore admitted on August 16 at Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, died on August 19 due to T2DM / Systemic Hypertension / Bronchial Asthma / COVID 19 Positive.
