The flight services between Bengaluru and Coimbatore were affected due to the outbreak of the pandemic. The Karnataka government had earlier banned flight services to Tamil nadu and it has allowed the services to restart.
Alliance Air has announced its new service between Coimbatore and Bengaluru from August 27. Except Tuesdays, passengers can avail the services on all other days. Flight number 9i511 would depart from Bengaluru at 6:30 AMand reach Coimbatore at 7:30 AM.
Flight number 9i512 will depart from Coimbatore at 7:55 AM and reach Bengaluru at 8:55 AM.
On Sunday, the flight will depart from Bengaluru at 7:00 AMand reach Coimbatore at 8:00 AM. In return the flight would leave Coimbatore at 8:25 AM and reach Bengaluru at 9:25 AM.
Kongu Global Forum (KGF) Director, D Nandha Kumar said, "We wholeheartedly welcome the initiative taken by Alliance Air in providing services to Bengaluru. This airline previously operated services in this route. Later it was withdrawn. Now again it has shown interest to start services. The fares are too costly (Rs. 4,476) from Coimbatore and Rs. 4,281 from Bengaluru. This is double the fare which was levied before the outbreak of the pandemic. We hope the airlines will reduce the fare. Above all the timings provided in this service are very good and it would help the passengers", he said.
