Coimbatore: A pregnant woman who went into labour in Pollachi while being transported to the hospital in an auto was attended to by the nurses immediately. The child was delivered in the auto itself.

More than 50 people of the Narikuravar community reside in the Kollupalayam area near Pollachi. Sneha, the wife of Rajini who lived in the area was in full-term pregnancy. Since she suffered from labour pain yesterday an auto was called for to transport her to the Kolarpatti Hospital.
While she was en route to the hospital with her relatives, she went into intense labour.
When the auto reached the Kolarpatti GH, nurses attended to Sneha right in the auto to avoid delay and she delivered a male child in a short while.
Following this, the mother and child were admitted at the Kolarpatti GH. They are doing well, informed the hospital sources.
