Minhajuddin (30) who worked as a policeman at the Kamanaickenpalayam Police station in Tirupur District was admitted at Coimbatore Government Hospital yesterday as he suffered from symptoms of COVID-19. Around 2.55 PM his health deteriorated rapidly and he failed to respond to treatment and succumbed to the illness.
Minhajuddin is a native of Anaimalai, Pollachi. However, it was decided that he would be buried in Coimbatore.

Following this, he was accorded an Islamic burial at the Flower Market Haider Ali Tipu Sultan burial ground.

TMMK members wore face masks while burying the body in a safe manner.

Since Minhajuddin expired while working as a policeman, his body was buried with a 24-gun salute.
Minhajuddin who became a policeman in 2013 is survived by his wife Nisha Parveen and his one and a half-year-old male child Mubash.
