Coimbatore: The 89th Birth Anniversary celebrations of the Tamil Maanila Congress party's founder G.K. Moopanaar was celebrated in Pollachi with planting of saplings.
Coimbatore: The 89th Birth Anniversary celebrations of the Tamil Maanila Congress party's founder G.K. Moopanaar was celebrated in Pollachi with planting of saplings.
Each year the birthday of G.K. Moopanaar is celebrated as Farmers Day by the TMC. Following this tradition, his 89th birthday celebrations were celebrated by planting saplings in Pollachi. On behalf of the Coimbatore Suburban South District TMC Youth Wing, Ajantha Karthikeyan led the planting of saplings at the Municipality Middle school campus on Kottur Road, Pollachi.
Further, the public were provided with free face masks.
The programme was inaugurated by the District Youth wing President Manikanadan. District General Secretary Saravanakumar, District Secretary Sivakumar and many other party executives took part in the event.
