Coimbatore: Workers who did outstanding work in the past month at the Anamalai Tiger Reserve were presented with mementos and certificates in appreciation of their work.

Assistant Field Director Anamalai Tiger Reserve presented shields and certificates to those who have excelled in work at the Anaimalai Tiger Reserve.
Areas including Valparai in Coimbatore district are home to the Anaimalai Tiger Reserve. There are four wildlife sanctuaries, namely Valparai, Pollachi, Manampalli and Topslip.

More than 500 workers are involved in conservation of forests and wildlife and prevention of human-wildlife conflict. In order to encourage them, they were presented with shields and certificates at a ceremony held at the Anamalai Tiger Reserve Special Training Center under the leadership of Pollachi Divisional Assistant Field Director Arokiaraj Xavier.
They were also provided new uniforms, shoes and hats to keep their work going smoothly. The Pollachi Lions Club also donated raincoats worth 130,000 to forest staff. Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Field Director Arokkiyaraj Xavier said that “The worker here should be in control and disciplined always. They must work towards achieving the name that the Anamalai Tiger reserve is the best in India."
Assistant Forest Ranger Selvam, Forest Ranger, Foresters and Lions Club District Governor Dharmaraj, Srinivasan, Mohankumar, Kamalakkannan, Anbuchelvan, M. Mohan Kumar and more than 300 forest department personnel wearing face masks and observing social distance attended the function.
