CPI said there are several malpractices in the co-operative society in the Kuppandampalayam area under the Tirupur Corporation. Former Co-operative Union leader from AIADMK also has lodged a complaint with the District Collector pointing out these malpractices, but there has been no action taken so far.
The Communist Party of India (CPI) today staged a protest at the Kuppandampalayam Co-operative Society premises, chanting slogans demanding that the Tamil Nadu government pay special attention to this issue and take action. They wore masks mimicking thieves and submitted a petition.
