DMK submits petition to increase the number of courses and admissions in Pollachi Government Arts and Science College

Coimbatore: DMK petitioned the Pollachi sub-collector to increase student enrollment and add additional courses in Pollachi Government Arts College.

Coimbatore: DMK petitioned the Pollachi sub-collector to increase student enrollment and add additional courses in Pollachi Government Arts College.

Bharathiar University College of Arts and Sciences, Mahalingapuram, Pollachi, on August 13, 14 and 17 held admissions for BA English, B.Sc Mathematics and B.Com Professional Accounting.

Only 600 students per year are allowed to study for the last three consecutive years on the five courses. As a result, students from poor students have to go to private colleges or government colleges in Udumalpet and Coimbatore.

As a result, students are at a disadvantage as the courses they want to study are not available in the Pollachi college. Therefore, the DMK demanded that the number of seats should increase and additional courses must be added.

DMK Murasoli Mandram Chairman Manimaran, along with District Representative Amuthabharathi, submitted the petition to the Sub-Collector Vaithiyanathan.
