Coimbatore: The CB-CID custody of the three accused in the Angoda Lokka case has been extended until August 31.
The CB-CID custody of the three accused in the Angoda Lokka case has been extended until August 31.
The death of the Srilankan underworld kingpin Angoda Lokka at Coimbatore is investigated by the CB-CID. Angoda Lokka's alleged lover Amani Thanji, lawyer Sivakamasundari from Madurai who had allegedly created fake documents for Lokka and her friend Dhyaneshwaran from Tirupur were arrested in connection with this case.
Judge Srikumar ordered for the three accused to be placed under judicial custody until August 17 and the case was handed over to the CB-CID.
The CB-CID took the three accused under custody for three days and conducted investigations. Following this they were presented at the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Saturday. Later Amani Thanji was imprisoned at the Puzhal prison, lawyer Sivakamisundari was imprisoned at the Coimbatore Central prison and Dhyaneshwaran was imprisoned at the Pollachi prison.
With the judicial custody for the three of them coming to an end today, they were presented in front of Judge Srikumar via video conference. The judge ordered for their custody to be extended upto August 31.
