Tirupur: Public near Tirupur protested against opening new TASMAC shop.
More than 3,000 families live in the Vavipalayam area at the 18th Ward of Tirupur Corporation. It is said that an attempt is being made on behalf of the Tirupur District TASMAC Administration to set up a new Government Liquor Store in the area where the main road is being used by a large number of women and school students.
Citing that safety of women and children would become questionable if a liquor store is set up and there is a possibility of crime, including burglary, so the public in the area protested in front of the proposed government liquor store, demanding that the TASMAC administration abandon its attempt to open a new government liquor store in the area.
