Coimbatore: Karthik leases an Ashok Leyland DOST vehicle - TN 37 BU 1563, belonging to Sekar. On the night of August 12, 2020, he parked the vehicle in front of his house in Arumuga Goundanur within Peur Police station limits.
Coimbatore: Karthik leases an Ashok Leyland DOST vehicle - TN 37 BU 1563, belonging to Sekar. On the night of August 12, 2020, he parked the vehicle in front of his house in Arumuga Goundanur within Peur Police station limits.
However, in the morning when Karthik looked for the vehicle he realised that it had been stolen. Following this he informed the owner Sekar about the theft. Sekar filed a complaint regarding his missing vehicle on August 16 at the Perur police station.
The Perur police registered the complaint number 1093/2020under section 379 of the IPC and undertook swift investigation and identified the criminal. Illavarasan (21), S/o Babu from Andiyappanur near Vaniyambadi in Tirupathur District was arrested in connection with the vehicle theft. llavarsan has been remanded under Judicial custody.
The Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Arularasu greatly appreciated the swift action that was taken by the Perur Police station personnel in identifying the culprit involved in the vehicle theft.
