Lack of streetlights and reflectors on Railway Bridge at Vadakkipalayam Pirivu near Pollachi poses danger to motorists

Coimbatore: The Railway bridge near Vadakkipalayam Pirivu, Pollachi which was constructed three years ago and the prime route to Palakkad, Kerala, has not been fitted with streetlights and reflectors, posing danger to vehicles using the bridge.

Coimbatore: The Railway bridge near Vadakkipalayam Pirivu, Pollachi which was constructed three years ago and the prime route to Palakkad, Kerala, has not been fitted with streetlights and reflectors, posing danger to vehicles using the bridge.

The railway bridge near Vadakkipalayam, Nadupuni road is 300 meters long and 100 feet wide and was constructed three years ago. This is the prime route connecting places in TN to Palakkad, Kerala.

Produce such as vegetables, eggs and fish from various districts in TN are taken via this route. Heavy motor vehicles carrying loads use this route often. The railway bridge does not have street lights, posing great danger and threat to the vehicles travelling through this road.



Since the road is curvy and lacks reflectors the number of accidents that occur on this road has increased.

The public have therefore requested the officialks to install streetlights and to put up reflectors and maintain them to ensure the safety of motorists.
