All the 21 wards within the Valparai Municipality are undertaking various measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The disease spread is, however, being caused by the arrival of people from other places, but the prompt actions by the municipal workers in the frontline have controlled the spread of the disease. Now the spread of COVID-19 in Valparai city and surrounding tea estates are under control.
In order to appreciate this achievement and to motivate the workers, supervisors of the COVID-19 prevention teams in Valparai, Ragupathy and Ilango, were presented with shields and certificates and appreciated by the Coimbatore District Collector K. Rajamani and the West Zone IG Periaiah at the Independence day celebrations that were held in Coimbatore yesterday.
