Tribute paid to the Rajamalai Estate labourers who lost their lives in Munnar

Coimbatore: A tearful tribute was paid to the tea estate workers who lost their lives in the landslide at Munnar.

Coimbatore:A tearful tribute was paid to the tea estate workers who lost their lives in the landslide at Munnar.

On behalf of the Valparai Drivers Association of all taxi, van, tempo and auto drivers a tearful tribute was paid to the tea estate workers of the Rajamalai Estate who lost their lives in the landslides that occurred in Munnar due to the monsoon rains.



The Valparai City Cooperative Bank President Valparai V. Hameed led the event. The photographs of the deceased labourers were placed in the Valparai Gandhi statue bus stand and garlanded and a floral tribute was paid to them.

All sections of the public took part in paying homage to the labourers who lost their lives.
