Coimbatore: AIDWA complains to SP about defamation of female journalist on Facebook.

The All India Democratic Women's Association in Coimbatore has lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, demanding legal action against the person who posted the obscene and slanderous post about a female journalist on Facebook. Radhika, the district secretary of the AIDWA, has lodged a complaint in this regard about female journalists in Tamil Nadu and women who serve the public being harassed.

They have posted a photo of the woman involved and posted obscene words. These events have created an environment in which women working for the common good live in fear of death and humiliation.

In this situation, Sasikumar has posted a photo of journalist Kavinmalar on his Facebook page and recorded very obscene words, causing disrespect and frustration. The AIDWA have said that "such acts continue as a result of the police not taking appropriate action in recent such incidents."

Therefore, they have demanded that Sasikumar, who posted the photo of Kavinmalar on a social networking site without permission and in an obscene manner, be booked under Section 66 (c), 67 and 67 of the Information Technology Act 2000 and Section 292 of the Indian Penal Code under Section 292 of the Indian Penal Code.
