The office where the Special SI worked office has been ordered shut for three days. All the employees at the office have been sent home. The SI had suffered from flu-like symptoms for the past few days. Following this he had gotten himself tested for COVID-19. He has now been admitted at a hospital for treatment.
In another case, 22 people including a trainer and hostel security guard have tested positive for COVID-19 out of the 60 trainees and other officials at a private college in the Saravanampatti area were they were being offered training in firefighting and rescue measures. Following this, the District Collector has ordered for all the participants to be tested for COVID-19. The entire area has beenfumigated and has been advised to be shut down.
