Coimbatore: Death of a trader due to COVID-19 has led to Thernilai flower market in Pollachi being shut.
A flower trader living on Pollachi Zamin Uthukuli Ashram Road was diagnosed with corona infection 2 days ago. He died of asphyxiation on the way to the government hospital by a 108 ambulance the day before yesterday.
Following this, the house where he lived and the nearby roads were sprayed with disinfectants.
The death of the flower trader from the flower market on the way from the Thernilai to the Bazaar road has caused panic among the local merchants. Health officials therefore ordered the flower market to close temporarily.
