Tea estates are spread over thousands of acres in the Solurmattam area of Kotagiri. The Denadu forest region is also nearby. The workers at the tea estates informed the Forest Department that a huge python has entered the estates.

Following this, forest department personnel who rushed to the spot captured the snake and released it into the Denadu Reserve forests.
The Forest Officials said, "The python had eaten something and could not move. The eight-foot long snake was captured safely and let into the reserve forests nearby."
