Tirupur: A complete lockdown has been imposed in Tamilnadu for the sixth Sunday in a row.

The Tamil Nadu government has ordered a state-wide curfew on Sunday to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Many have questioned the logic of keeping Sunday alone locked down but yet the complete lockdown is still in force.

45 checkpoints have been set up across the district and those coming out for essential needs are being allowed only after the investigation. All major roads are cordoned off by police. As a result, all the shops in the district are closed and all the main roads are deserted without any public movement.
