Commemorating the Second Memorial day of DMK Leader M. Karunanidhi, the Coimbatore East District MLA N. Karthik planted saplings at various places on behalf of the 'Singai Pasumai Amaippu'. He planted saplings at Hudco Colony, ward no. 56, Peelamedu and Sri Ram Nagar area, ward no.40, Avarampalayam yesterday morning.
He paid homage and paid floral tribute to a portrait of Kalignar at Masakalipalayam, ward no. 57. Later he provided breakfast packets to the COVID-19 prevention frontline workers.
MLA N. Karthik released the first copy of the 'Ullatchi Arasu' daily, based in Coimbatore on this day.
He paid floral tribute to a portrait of Kalaignar at Aravan Koil Ground, Karumbukkadai, ward no. 63 - Singanallur, Anjaneya colony area, ward no. 60 - Ondipudur, Annanagar area, ward no. 56 - Peelamedu,Siddhapudur area - ward no. 53 and Anna statue - Gandhipuram in the Coimbatore South Constituency.

Later he honoured the COVID-19 prevention frontline workers with shawls and garlands and provided them with relief packages.He provided welfare assistance to differently abled people, the frontline workers and to the poor and destitute. He also provided them with gifts and welfare assistance. Further he provided welfare assistance to the public in some areas.
The MLA also flagged off two 'tribute vehicles' bearing the portrait of Kalaignar.
