Coimbatore: The centrally approved trade union committee condemned the anti-labourer stance of the Central and State governments and staged protests at Valparai. The protests were held as a part of nationwide protests against the government.

The protests held in front of the Valparai Municipal office were led by the Anaimalai Dravida Tholilalar Munnetra Sangam, LPF General Secretary Lawyer.V.P. Vinoth Kumar.

The protests witnessed participation of by INTUC General Secretary U. Karuppiah, Kalaivaanan, AITUC Manickam, Periyasamy, Lawyer Viswanathan, Dhanapandian, AITUC Paramasivam, Muneeshwari, MDFK Kalyani, Union Secretary Rajendran, SMS Varghese and Lawyer Sivasubramani.
On behalf of theTransport Corporation LPF, Panneerselvam, Ravi, Ilango, Arumugam and Veeraraghavan took part. DMK Aadhi Dravida Nala Ani District Assistant organiser E.K. Ponnusamy, Valparai City Aadhi Dravida Nala Ani Assistant organiser R.K. Kumar, Valparai City Student wing organiser Manikanda Prabhu, Taxi Murugesh, Madasamy, Devaraj and party executives took part in the protests.
