Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner inspects sanitation and developmental work in South Zone

Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner J. Shravan Kumar inspected and reviewed the sanitation and developmental work undertaken in the South Zone of the Corporation.

The Coimbatore Corporation has been undertaking various measures to control the spread of COVID-19. Corporation Commissioner inspected the Ukkadam Fish market to observe if the customers and shop owners at the market wore face masks and maintained social distancing. Further, he advised the shop keepers to insist that the customers should wear face masks and maintain social distancing. He also spoke to them about COVID-19 awareness.

Following this, he visited ward no. 85 at the South Zone and inspected the spraying of disinfectants in a containment zone.



He also informed the concerned officials to make arrangements to make all essential goods available to the public in the containment zone.



Later he visited ward no.77, Selvapuram North Housing Unit and flagged off disinfectant spraying vehicles.



He also inspected the construction of the wastewater treatment plant at the Vellalore Garbage dump and the production of vermicompost from the garbage collected at the center which is separated and broken down into particles.



He also inspected the construction work of the Vellalore Integrated New Bus stand and ordered the officials to complete it in time.

The South Zone Deputy Commissioner Ravi, Assistant Executive EngineerSundararaj, Zonal Health Officer Loganathan, Junior engineer Vimal Raj, Health Inspectors, supervisors and corporation workers were present for the inspection.
