Valparai AIADMK provides relief fund to residents of houses felled by trees

Coimbatore: Heavy rains accompanied by winds brought down trees at a lot of places in Valparai. Some trees fell on houses, damaging them severely. The Valparai AIADMK City Secretary Mayil Ganesan provided these affected residents with relief funds.

Hurricane winds and heavy rains have been lashing Valparai for the past few days. Many trees in the tea estates areas were brought down by these rains. The falling trees have caused severe damage to houses near them.

Areas such as Stanmore, Kurangu Mudi, Murugan Estate, Bharathidasan Nagar, Varattu Paarai and Sholayar Dam road suffered damages due to the uprooted trees and landslides occurred in some places.



Following this, the Valparai AIADMK City Secretary M. Mayil Ganesan visited these areas in person and consoled the affected people. He provided them with relief funds and advised them to be cautious in the rainy season.

The Coimbatore Suburban District Amma Peravai Deputy Secretary R. Narasappan, Lawyer R.R. Perumal, Amma Peravai Deputy President C. Senthil Balu, Paasarai Deputy Secretary A. Soundararajan, S.K.S. Balu Shanmugam Lokeshwaran, Jothi Karthi and John Peter took part in this event.
