Tirupur: Tirupur farmers pour road on streets in protest of Aavin management alleging that its activities hurt their livelihood.
The protesting farmers alleged that the Aavin Milk Cooperative societies procure milk from the farmers in the Tirupur district. However, instead of procuring it fully they send back 20% of the milk.
They further alleged that Aavin pays them less than the existing rates stating that the TDS in the milk is lesser.
Farmers who have already been impacted by the lockdown suffer more by Aavin management's activities, they lamented.
In order to register their protest, farmers staged an agitation in front of the Aavin Cooling Center on the Tirupur Palladam road by pouring milk on the road. They also raised slogans against the Aavin management.
