He tricked a 13 year-old -girl saying that he is in love with her. The girl belongs to Veerapandi next to Periyanaickenpalayam. Santhosh asked to meet the girl and brought her near the dumpyard near Eru Company in Kavundampalayam. There, Santosh and his friend Sathish threatened the girl and sexually abused her.
The student informed her parents about this. Thudiyalur All Women Police registered a case based on the girl's complaint. On the orders of the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police and Periyanaickenpalayam Deputy Superintendent of Police Mani, Thudiyalur Police Station Inspector Bala Murali Sundaram, All Women Police Station Inspector Ananthanayaki, Sub-Inspector Kuppuraj and Training Sub-Inspector Karthikeyan formed a team to search the culprits.
The Thudiyalur All Women Police arrested the culprits Santosh and Satish within 24 hours under the POCSO Act and lodged them in the Coimbatore Central Jail.
