Coimbatore: While International flight service is yet to resume, repatriation flights have commencedoperation in India to bring home overseas citizens whose are stuck in various countries during this coronavirus pandemic. Also, cargo movement has become essential for transporting essential and other goods into and across the country.
Similarly, cargo service to various countries have also been permitted. Accordingly, SpiceJet so far has operated six cargo flights from Coimbatore. However, the cargo service was suspended, due to various reasons.
Resuming its services back, Spicejet will operate a cargo flight from Coimbatore International Airport to Kuwait, tonight.
According to airport sources, a total of 121 tonnes of cargo has been flown between Coimbatore and Sharjah by SpiceJet during the curfew.
In this situation, 18 tons of cargo³ is to be ferried from Coimbatore on the cargo flight that departs to Kuwait at 9.30 PM, tonight.
