With 332 active cases, 22 people were discharged, today.
The total of people under home quarantine were 3,029 with the addition of 297 persons who were quarantined, today. As many as 168 persons completed the 14-day quarantine today, District Collector K

967 people with travel history, those in touch with high risk patients and those who presented with Covid-19 symptoms were subjected to PCR testing.
The district reported 2 Covid-19 fatalities over the last 24 hours. An 80-year-old man from Kongu main Road in Tiruppur admitted on August 2 at Tirupur GH, passed away today. The other death reported was that of a 61-year-old man from Balaji Nagar in Tirupur who was admitted at CMCH and tested positive for the dreaded virus. The man who had comorbidities such as TB, hypertension, diabetes and hypothyroidism succumbed to the virus on August 3.
