COVID-19: 5,063 positive cases in TN; 6,501 patients discharged; 108 deaths reported

In the wake of increasing Covid-19 cases in Tamil Nadu, 6501 people have been discharged on a single day in the state. Reassuring much hope amid the patients and the public, the total discharges in Tamil Nadu has been reported as 2,08,784 against the total cases which stands at 2,68,285 as of Tuesday.

With 5,063 new cases in the state, the tally rose to 2,68,285 with 1023 cases reported in Chennai alone. The total Covid death has touched 4,349 with 108 deaths reported on a single day, today.

Of the 108 deaths, 25 patients have reportedly passed away in private hospitals and 83 in government hospitals across the state.

In Coimbatore, 228 new cases have been reported, the total tally of COVID-19 cases have is 5688 with 7 people succumbed to the disease, today.

With 8 new cases in Tirupur the tally has touched the 1000 mark. And, cases in the Nilgiris has increased to 863, after 14 new cases were reported, today.
