Tirupur DYFI protests demanding COVID-19 tests be increased

Tirupur: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) protested in front of the Tirupur District Government Headquarters Hospital, demanding that necessary steps be taken to increase the number of tests in view of the growing number of coronavirus infections in Tirupur.

Tirupur: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) protested in front of the Tirupur District Government Headquarters Hospital, demanding that necessary steps be taken to increase the number of tests in view of the growing number of coronavirus infections in Tirupur.

In Tirupur district, 949 people are currently affected by the increasing number of coronavirus infections. The DYFI demanded that under the circumstances, the Tirupur District Government General Hospital should be provided with the necessary facilities for immediate examination of patients with symptoms of coronavirus infection without having to wait for a long time.



They asked those an isolated facility should be in place to keep the bodies of COVID victims. As the number of cases is increasing day by day, the district administration should take necessary steps through primary health centers and in-house inspections, they insisted.



The DYFI also demanded immediate supply of equipment to the blood bank at the GH.
