Around 12 PM today, a Royal Brunei Airlines chartered flight landed here with 131 Indians and carried eight passengers on its return leg.
Another repatriation flight from Singapore ferrying stranded Indians back to their homeland landed at the Coimbatore International Airport around 8 PM tonight. The flight brought 178 passengers including an infant.
Apart from these flights, Coimbatore witnessed, for the first time, an all-cargo flight service between Coimbatore and Kuwait. Operated by Spicejet, the flight took off to Kuwait at 7:30 PM with 17 tonnes of cargo.
Airport sources said, "Expansion of all cargo flight services in the international sector has given a big boost to the airport cargo section."
